FOLLEN, AUGUST(1794-1855)- (or after called himself adolf) german poet. radical plots, imprisoned 12 yrs. writings.

FOLLEN,  CARLES (1796-1840)- brother of ludwig. law + theology. liberal writings made him obnoxious to rulers, left for jena. kotzebue assassinated + got mixed up in it. innocent, but moved to switzerland. tried 3 times get him. he fled to USA. taught + pastored. died w/ 175 others at burning of the steamship 'lexington'. wrote popular songs. his wife elizabeth(1767-1860) american authoress + published much of his writings.

wiki says he was an abolitionist, so hard to get a memorial for him.
