RANDOM 341 OBJECT
SWEET Old MOORCROFT Pottery VASE 1st Queen Mark w FRUIT-$202
You know what it is? I think it’s the wonderful royal blue ground that always attracts me to Moorcroft even though I know very little about it. If it has that blue on it, has some sort of hand painted fruit and is in great condition, I snap up every one I can.
We’ll just look all the way around it. Then you can tell me what kind of fruit we’re looking at here.
Inexplicably, I guess, William Moorcroft decided to put “Potter to HM Queen” on his pieces sometime in the late 1920s. This one has it, so it dates somewhere between 1928 and 1949. ( I didn’t just pull that information out from under my skirt. I found it on the Internet.)
You’ll be tickled to death with it, and it would make a nice gift for someone very special . . . with good taste.
