RANNDOM 341 OBJECT
HUGE 5 ft Antique TRENCHER DOUGH BOWL - Hewn Log TROUGH, EARLY Ohio or Indiana-$76
My mother-in-law, now deceased, was the sweetest woman on the face of the earth, and she was the oldest of 23 children, born and raised in Eastern Kentucky. Now that family could have used a piece of such monumental proportion, if for nothing else other than gently kneading the cat-head biscuit dough.
It is quite early and likely from either Indiana or Ohio. We’ll look at lots of pictures. You’ll see the hewn surfaces as well as some old, old patches on the inside only.
It is 60” long – 21” wide – and about 10” deep. It weighs 35 pounds. (Properly packaged for your carrier, the package would be 64” by 25” by 14” and would weigh approximately 40 pounds. You would need to make all arrangements and payment with and to your carrier.)
Obviously it would be simpler to just drive over to our place, have a cup of coffee and chat. It’s only 2371 miles from Seattle to our house in southwestern Ohio.
That’s plenty to say about this old rascal. You either love it or hate it. There is no middle ground.
I LOVE IT
