the $10 dollar window. my cousin and i pooled $5 to pay the $10 at the rummage sale across the street from our grandparents house one summer. we made a deal that whoever had a house first would get it. sarah forgot, but i dragged it out of the attic. had the original old window frame.
sarah reframed it so she should hang it. did we know a good bargain when we were teens or what?

SWEATER SATURDAY

ooh, my favorite unused yard. classic elite's asia. got a mondo amount of it accidently, but more to use! eventually.
but i don't like knitting fine yarns. so i mixed it with another yarn. the tealy green seemed the best choice to really show off all the asia's colors.
damn. i remember what yarn that was??? funny the things i CAN remember. made history easy in HS!

sarah's house. sarah's house actually had architectural drawings. a neighbor had bought it at the original owner's estate sale. and gave it back to sarah. very helpful to imagine it before the addition.

and sarah solved her paint issue with an addition of many colors.

another indian watercolor i did in denmark. gee, did i do 3 of them the same day? NO, i did 4. i like this geronimo better. i wish i could get more of this paper. i didn't like it when i got it, but i did like how i could paint on it.

RANDOM UM, RELATIVE POST

RUBY is my cousin's adopted daughter from china. Matt and Sarah are both quite tall and ruby(named after sarah and my grandma F) was quite small for her age. but she is 3 now. obviously very cute. we were eating breakfast monday and i say. i gotta get a pic of ruby and she gets out of her booster seat and immediately stands up and smiles her pose. oh no ruby, i don't want THAT kind of picture. i want to get you naturally. i don't like all these smiling banal pictures! and i got a cute pic of her stuffing her face, CANDIDLY!

i really shouldn't remember this. must be 8 years ago i started estate sales, and i got this in the 1st year i bet. from the same sale. i could only see paying for 1 mah jong(sp) tile. i think that's what it is. and this bird on a pole. if you tap the pole, the bird taps the pole and goes down at the same time. he sticks a bit. but it is so neat.

it used to be the teeny tiny bedroom of the old cottage. not finished. i do miss the real wood plank walls grandma had in the tiny bathroom they made out of the closet. this is an antique mirror, probably from a chest. the mirror is about a yard plus wide. to get any detail, just did a section.

going to get another. any name ideas? nixed Jade. toooo chinese.
my cousin's name is sarah and she had 2 or 3 in her class, so she was always TALL sarah. she doesn't want the child to be chinese sarah.
i told her ruby was up there with the 'new' alices. not quite emma or emily.

oh, i barely broke even. got a ceramic pretty platter, bartered for earrings. actually, becaue of that, i think i am up $5. PROFITS! whoohoo!
never again! at least i make a little money outside.
