SWEATER SATURDAY

ahh, my fox fur yarn sweater. yes. i REALLY did not want to get the yarn, FOX FUR, but but but the yarn shop up north in eagle river had SUCH a sweet sale on the yarn. 3 colors that were down to a few balls. now what did i do with the rose balls? anyways. i added some other wool manos de uraguay from another favorite shop also now closed. sigh. all my favorites are gone.
i really liked this pattern, so i did it twice. this is the better one. also love the colors i picked.

commander pissypants is in tantrum mode over the AG DECISION he made. and i just read an illuminating passage in the lady bird bio i am reading. book sucks, but she stopped with the freudian BS. LBJ didn't want to think about or decide about running in 68' because he felt it would make him unable to lead. i think georgie has hit that 'failure to lead'.
we can only hold on til 09'. stoopid prick.

FRIDAY ART BLOGGING
BIG fish painting. i found a picture of these fish in my weekly calendar and i HAD to paint it. and i painted it BIG. about 4 1/2 x 5 1/5. i made it rather 'impressionistic' or more modern undetailed, but if you look at it. there is depth, which i never planned on. it just happened. always seems to happen. one of the few paintings where i worked most of the canvas. no underpainting i think. fishes last tho. maybe that's how they can be swimming in space.
hard to get the colors right in photo tho.
i then did it in stained glass. my 1st fish painting.

i took pics of almost all of the keith pieces my cousin has. a vase i gave her is missing, but the purple and tan pot is one i gave her. i thought i would be seeing more. having more to give. one is from the day we met him. the big purple blue one.
he was a very good potter. maybe one day he will be famous.

the farm cats(indoor) at Tim's girlfriends house. the unfixed male i dub patches. or somebody give me a better name. and the small tortie, pixie, or bixie. i will say pixie so when i paint her i can call her pixie toes. such a sweet little thing. my cats are mooses compared to them.

drove from tim's house to his girlfriend's house to wait for her. we would be staying overnight at her house. ooh, great old stove in the kitchen. left enough whiskey so she could have a drink. only use it for flavor. and got a much cat time as possible. pixie soooo cute.

so, fri after going to the redmill shops, fid our way to crazee Tim's place. very bachelor. ooh, lure collection in his coffee table. and great birdfeeder right out the kitchen window! and a big tree trunk father away with suet feeders. juncos,woodpeckers and BLUE JAY!

RANDOM HEATER POST

one of my 'newer' heaters. also one of the best ones for heat. solid copper bowl, not plated. a tiled bathroom is very cold in winter and it was time to put it back in the bathroom. i will do a bigger heater post after i am doe with benedicte trip, sarah's, and the cottage.
and fall.

by the way, these pre-WW2 heaters are really cool, and if you don't put a towel over them and their cords are in good condition, they are quite safe.
tho too much dust will cause a flame out. i got hooked on my 1st hotpoint i got at a rummage sale eons ago.
