SATURDAY ART XXXX BLOGGING
the last etching i have pulled out. my only drypoint. didn't much care for drypoint, which was direct scraching into a copper plate. of course my whiskers. he's $10 if anybody wants him. 10' x 8 1/4'.

raccoon, is £(E)sepan in menominee. my grandpa really liked this one, so my aunt got it for him and i did a 2nd.
this is one of the few that works large in oil.

roadkill #3
skunk-sekak in menominee. and this is how sekako(chicago) got it's name. place of the skunks. wonder what chicago says the name means? this is the 2nd skunk. the first one sold at a show to a man who wanted one for his bathroom. PERFECT, for a guy.

RANDOM ORATION POST
georgie-napoleon
not gonna do the quote WAY to much typing, but its from PITT, CHATHAM's son, who was the youngest brittish prime minister, thanks farmer for that info.
he is talking about the french revolution(which one?) and napoleon.
like georgie, napoleon egregiously broke treaties left and right. georgie is a little little man. with a little boys penis.

roadkill #2
moose which is mos in menominee. my uncle has the original in his manhattan apartment. the 2nd one was almost exactly the same. i think i sold this last year. could i ever replace it?

should have said. all are on card stock. 5x6inches and signed and #. the actual print is smaller. i used to shrink wrap them for art shows. too expensive. nobody cares if i stick them in a baggie. but it's a bitch have to cut matt board for backing. i made about 111 prints this spring. so that's 111 boards. luckily i cut them when i get my hands on matt board to recycle. i have a friend who has a frame shop. i save her dumpster and the land fills. RECYCLING!

MORE ROADKILL
now, these were inspired by a book of indian fables i got from paperback book club. cool B/W illustrations that inspired me and i went off from there.

monkey (tried to make look like georgie)
i took an native american history class at art school around the same time and my instructor who also worked at our public museum, gave me a menominee lexicon-menominee to english(roll eyes)
so all the american animals have menominee names(except the armadillo and chicken. had to create names. the armadillo is a rock pig and the chicken is a meat bird.)
the loon is because of a danish woman who also works in south africa, so i added them. they have swahili names.

almost forgot. well, can't remember which ones i sent farmer,but i will explain 'roadkill'. when i first started this series, i was showing them off to my uncle ken, and he called them roadkill. why? cause they're flat. hmm, i guess they are. roadkill stuck and roadkill they shall forever be.
i will be sending more of them to farmer, signed and numbered prints of all can be had for $7, shipping included. children LOVE them and they have stopped a wailing child at 15 feet. if only kids had money. multiples get price deals.
