well, i didn't find the word in my dictionary or in the word museum book. so where did you find it, dale?

Wednesday, July 26, 2006

well dale, i AM readingt a 60's dictionary my aunt gave me (what they said about AIN'T is priceless!), but i am only up to H and also going backwards, i am in w or something. i will have to look it up. i LOVE reference books.

have i recommended the encyclopedia of american scandal? i was looking for the 1st book by marvin kitman which was about george washington's account books. i had read his making of the prefident 1789, which is a hilarious book. but back to the scandal book. after reading it, on NPR i heard stories about people i had read about-pre 1776 and it was like synchronicity. ooh, i feel so shmaat.

by the way the estate sales have been pretty lame, but i sold much of the $3 dollar bag i got at the 82nd street in wawatosa. much profits. shit, i even sold the 60's date stamper. i gotta start selling the stuff immediately like that. and the syracuse plates went to canada. still confused that the much used plates got so many bids. i had such nice contacts. i love selling to collectors who are pleased as punch to find the item they want. i was able to hunt the treasure.
i spent $1 tues. i got a calculator and a mini old yellow WI licence plate. i missed the yellow ones. other sale all i saw worth taking was 2 old red (clear) dice. but tomorrow, Newhall! east side. but 1st day.listing says books. and and and keith? ooh, i am getting so excited.

chatham by the way was also against taxing america. he was a very smart man, yes?

RANDOM ORATIONS POST

Chatham 1741-the retort to walpole
b 1708 d 1778

-but content myself wishing that i may be one of those whose follies may cease with their ypouth, AND NOT OF THAT NUMBER WHO ARE IGNORANT IN SPITE OF EXPERIENCE. Whether youth can be imputed to any man as a reproach, i will not, sir, assume the province of determining; but surely age may become justly contemptable, if the opportunities which it brings have passed away WITHOUT IMPROVEMENT AND VICE APPEARS TO PREVAIL WHEN THE PASSIONS HAVE SUBSIDED.
the wretch, who, after having seen the consequences of a thousand errors, continues still to blunder, and whose age has only ADDED OBSTINANCY to STUPIDITY, is surely the object of either abhorrence or contempt, and deserves not that his grey hairs should secure him from insult. .............and spends the remains of his life in the ruin of his country.

emphasis pansypoo. i am sure you know who i am alluding to. i keep forgetting to post this little gem. what wonders they would have thought of georgie and how we got into this mess.

RANDOM THOUGHT POST

last night, probably while showering, i had some thoughts. the republikans want to keep their majority permenent. and it is confounding as that birds and planes don't fly very well with JUST ONE WING. they need both and america withe republikans at the helm of all 3 branches, the 'ship' of state is in a sinking tailspin.
the democrats better win before america hits land.

one less warmongering week of Bush to go
one less week of warmonger Bush to go
Israel pounds Lebenon trying to squish the hezbollah roach
condi goes a shuttling when the world send reproach
one less week of warmonger Bush to go

ooh, it rhymes.

this weekend is the Marquette, MI art on the rocks. ooooooh i am excited. more later, eh. hope the weather is nice. looks like we won't bake.
hmm, i should have done before and after pics. the 1926 house i live in had it's old 50's?60's crap aluminum storms replaced and the wood bits covered in vynil and new siding.. but alas, the fucking huge wood storms on the front(also odd shaped) are toast.(re-use the glass?) they did need major work anyways, gotta have new ones built. $$$. the changes look good. if more bland angles. there is a small porch off my bedroom and a bird had made a home in the side of it and after it being covered, the birds living there didn't like their eviction and tried to get in underneath.
they finally gave up.
