RANDOM 341 OBJECT
HAND MADE BRUYERE PIPE, Mercury, VIKING GOD OF FLOWERS-$20
I guess there is a slight possibility I could be wrong about the identity of the guy whose image is carved into this pipe. Nonetheless, I go with my gut, and he looks like that FTD guy who, as he got older, gave up delivering flowers and became a Viking.
Since it’s obvious I know nothing about pipes, I’ll just show you some more pictures and call it a day.
RANDOM 341 OBJECT
14 RPPC Postcard DUST BOWL KS, OHIO WV TN Shirt Factory-$20
All but one of these old cards are in nice condition. I’ll show you the clunker when we get to it.
The government promoted the Homestead Act that encouraged folks to settle in the virgin prairies by constantly reinforcing a saying that turned out to be a falsehood: “Rain follows the plow.” I don’t think they lied on purpose. They were just unaware of what happens when you disturb the environment.
Today it’s different. Bought and paid for legislators have taken deceit to a whole new level. “Let the uber-rich pay little or no taxes, and they’ll create jobs.”
