antique crazy quilt w/ black velvet- $12 12???
I remember when . . . ,
on the coldest winter nights, in an old house poorly heated by a coal furnace with no stoker, a small lad named “Me” kept cozy under the weight of two, sometimes three quilts and/or comforters tucked around and under me by my mother. Flannel sheets along with the sheer weight of the quilts and comforters made me one with my bed, and when morning came, it took at least three nudges in the form of mother’s voice from the kitchen to coax me from my safe and warm cocoon.
