wow, more? not on tuesday?
i forgot some stuff. i counted polit signs on our wisconsin ave. from 37th to about 87th. and there was 25 B/C signs to 36 K/E signs.
wisconsin ave is NOT cheap. especially the farther west ya go.
and today on WHAD y' know on NPR today, he interviewd MoDo. even though she said she was gonna write about the goose hunt(why does modo hate america) she did hit georgie quite hard and said bush being in a bubble wasn't enough, but that he was in a thermos.

on a brighter note. i got 9211and escaped to canada in the furious george and the cross country crime spree. i was a BAD monkey(or was that george?).
i forgot. on the way to that interesting estate sale, i saw the kerry plane at mitchel FIELD. BILLY MITCHEL field and i bet he would have been appalled by georgie as well.
and, on thursday, there was a article in the paper reporting that a JUVENILE snakehead fish was caught in lake Michegan. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. i fucking blame THIS on george as well. now can we keep that fucking asian carp from the mississippi out??? fucking illinois.

but i really came to blogger to put down my estate adventure today.
i went out of my range to cudahy today. hey, it was near the lakefront and the listing mentioned a old old estate.
well, it was an old house on a 'hill'. how do they cut the grass???
steep steep hill and a small house. from what the sellers said. and what i 'gleaned' this older woman spent most of her day in the dry basement. the house's only bathroom was on that floor. so when it was built in the 1800's, it had an outhouse. well, i think the only water was also on that floor. and did i see a heater? not really. you entered a storm celler entry to what was the kitchen. and in the middle was a gorgeous 1870(?)'s wood stove. Ah, so that's why the entry had wood piled in it. and looked recently used too. also an electric/gas stove. hmm, was there a fridge? can't remember. in back of that was just space and near the front of the house a wookbench and 2 very old and decorative saws(EBAY! i bought both) and to the east-the horrid little bathroom-no bath.heck. i don't think i saw a washing machine or dryer.
the 1st floor was also small. a very small tiny bedroom. a sittingroom, a bigger bedroom a front room.
off the sittingroom was the trap door for the stairs to the basement(ah, how convenient for winter). and right behind it, stairs to the attic. big storage room and a bedroom in the front.
if the house is saved, it will definately need updating. and can i say catholic? loads of linoleum, JFK, and other catholic stuff.
it is imaginable how she lived there for decades. don't think widow. last child or only child? no photos. any relatives? there were some very nice 1800's pieces. a little dry sink in the attic and a storage chest very pretty in the sittingroom. OOH forgot the chaise lounge in the attic bedroom-very nice.
fun to see, but i only bought the saws, a teapot(ANOTHER ONE?!?-hey, it was $1!) and a religeous OLD bakery advert thermometer-EBAY!
a most interesting sale.

where where,
under the chair.
supposedly there is another couplet, but she couldn't think of it.
