i am not much a pretty dish collector. BUT, i do pick up nice hand painted plates, or nice plates. AND the old piece of east lake era . and i do see to like butter pats. BUTTER. this was slightly chipped. but it's a surviver. 1870's or so. maybe i can get it near 2070 for it's 200th b-day.
i can afford east lake flatware or dishes, they take up less room than pump organs.
RANDOM ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA
DUMFRIES- 1 of 3 scottish border counties. blah blah
history-during roman OCCUPATION formed part of valenitia, beteen walls of hadrian + antoine. brit tribes occupying it termed the selgavae. moved out by other celts. the scots-irish, but the aboriginal brits shared + w/ the saxons + the few normans in the mix. blah blah
of all the primative inhabitants numerous memorials still exist in druidic remains. brit motes + camps, roman roads + camps, anglo-saxon retics-runic rothwell
all things considered i think. thurs? had a story about britain looking for all the ancient trees to count them. they are single eco systems i guess.
