RANDOM 341 OBJECT
Tall MID CENTURY Art Pottery VASE - Old Czechoslovakia-$18
My brother is here in Ohio visiting. He’s from Houston, so he’s been near death from freezing since he arrived. The only reason I mention that . . . well, two reasons really . . . First, it explains why I’ve been listing so few items. And second: It gives me an excuse why I hollered at my dear spouse (She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed) when she placed this piece on my “too be listed” shelf.
“I already sold that!”, I yelled.
“No,” she said. “You bought two in that pattern from the same place. You just forgot to unpack the other one.”
Dang! I hate it when she’s right.
It’s burnt orange and cream with embossed panels and a boldly glazed and chaotic background. I like that. And I especially like the fact that it’s not broken.
The piece stands just over 9” tall, and there are no chips, dings or other disobjectionabilities.
If you’re a fan or collector of stuff from the days of Ward and June Cleaver, you’re going to love it.
