RANDOM ESTATE SALE
yesterday i got off WAY late, but i got there a FEW(aybe 2) minutes to close. great part of WAWAtosa. old home-1920's? early 30's?. my photo didn't work. hard to tell now that the view thingy is dead. like using a 35mm. no idea what i have.
anyways, i got in. snagged the trivet in the mostly empty livingroom. lot of baskets. kitchen had most of what i grabbed. i was the onlt one left shopping i think. NOBODY TOOK THE CARVED SPOON + FORK SET??? so what if they were sticky? clean at home. i guess grime helped save the GLASS salt/pepper grinder combo. never seen that before. oh, when i walked in, i spotted the chimes-'is that for sale'. yes. got that at the end, they sound expensive! filled a little basket with the shakers, the wood set, the p/d, the mini melon baller, the carved sticky set. but under the cash out table. went back for more(left my african bag in the car. how much can be left in the last 5 min?
went in the basement, took the repaired crock. has to be worth $1 eh? nothing else in the basement. back in the kitchen, nobody took the steel bowls? take and shift something and HEY! level! i like those. and before i knw it i have a better $4 bag than i have had in a while. ebay will say more. the house was in good shape, but really needed some fresh paint + scrubbing. but it had a lot of leaded windows and was small,, but very nice. didn't do upstairs. pushing my stay. it wasn't great, but it was good.
at home looking over the stuff. cleaning off the wood s+f a bit. no where. east europe? german? the level is a late 1800's stanley + the liquid is not chartreuse! needs some polishing, but it's nice. i'll keep the melon baller. the single salt shaker and i think the windchimes for now. and see what is unsold. oh, keep the smallest steel bowl. i have some of my grandma's. extra big for cheesecake + popcorn.
but what is the wood thing? just a spoon rest?
RANDOM NORTH POLE
