Let’s say you had money back then and wanted something special. Cawston had that covered too. He had a gift shop where you could buy all manner of things made from ostrich feathers. He also sold feathers all over the world – most for the making of very expensive and stylish fashion items.
Next: Let’s say you have some bucks stashed away today. If so, you could live in one of the cutting edge loft apartments designed and built in the old manufacturing building. The rest of what remains, as I understand, is a historic sight. They closed in 1935, after 39 years of operation.
