RANDOM ESTATE SALE

FINALLY. no sales for 3 weeks! as i said to the woman going in as i left. i was jonesing for a sale. once hooked on them, you are hooked. i do not normally do many prestige sales. high priced. disorganized, but this one was advertised for 2 weeks. google earth showed a eastside little bungalow in s 12th. it was too cold for barefeet, so i had slippers on. as i walk into the sale a 3oish black man walks out, 'are you wearing house shoes?!?' yes. and if 10 degrees warmer i'd be barefoot. climb the stair + open the front door. lordy. couch full of stuff and a crammed table. nice early 1900 pastel, but i can't buy that. snall little table and some books. al franken? really? i don't have that 1. put in my bag. coat rack full of stuff and a wood/lucite umbrella! into my bag, check it later. very nice arts + crafts fireplace + stained glass windows.very nice east lake love seat full of shit. will look at box of post cards/photos later. OMGthe dinningroom full of stuff. hard to see the buffet. nothing, must go to kitchen. to look for old old goodies. no old kitchen stuff!!! so bummed. maybe too late. not enen a smoosher. nothing in the kitchen. maybe the basement! walk down. well lit, but what a mess. badly crumbling linoleum. must have put it over concrete badly. interesting under my barefeet. 2 bucket w/ garden tool, i pull out a short claw/hoe. very nice, but loose. leave it. oh, did i mention the old kerosene heater? as i was looking thru the photos upstairs an man asked about it wondering what kind of fuel and i said kerosene, but it may have been coal.i am walking on the south side of the split basement. old toolbench + big big store scale. nothing. make my way to the other side. chares, tables. east lake mirror frame and dresser. rockers and a east lake pump organ. take pics. oh, dead mouse. nice. go to the bar area. lots of bottles. nothing good. seems basement bars are universal in milw, tho my grandpa didn't. OOH, i want that east lake bench. nothing but photos. attic had nothing but clothes + a dresser. back to the livingroom. chatted a bit with the black guy working, NO shoes? trust me, better than falling. while goingthru the postcards + photos, somebody brings up bush and i add my own bits. 3 lefties. shame prestige dude runs his sales stupid. i picked our 6 postcards. mostly french posts from nevers.oops, i shoplifted one. i thought i dropped one of the ones i got. so, for a bad sale, it was pretty good. and i had a good chatting w/ the black guy.
