At left is a flue for the kitchen stove.
The woman's arm and the white siding cause a loss of perspective so it looks like the tree is growing out of the building. I wouldn't want a tree that close to the eave.

don't worry, i think that tree is about 10 ft at least away from the house. but it does look like it's coming straight out of the house.
yeah, i was thinking a wood stove flue. just not your usual chimney.
wood/gas stoves kinda modern.
