ok, at the so-so estate sale on tues, the 20's quote book-PUTNAM'S COMPLETE BOOK OF QUOTATIONS-proverbs and household words.
a collection of quotations from british and american authors, with many thousands of proverbs , familiar phrases and sayings, from all sources, including hebrew, arabic, greek, latin, french, german, italian, spanish and other languages.

luckily translations! 1926. not bartlett's! 1st section-british & american authors. lot of poetry. so taking that out unless i likes it. 880 pages of itty bitty print. this will be daily. 343 pages of index. who knows what i shall find!
