RANDOM WWI POST

gibbons was discussing little necessary little thefts. taken cheeses before paid cause the train was leaving, but the talked of a troop train stopped at a little station. 6 soldiers with cold hands and feet got off and there was a large square stove, red hot, in the middle. one soldier stood on another's shoulders, detached the pipe. at the same time , 2 others placed poles under the stove, they lifted it off and walked away with it.
put it on their train car and stuck the pipe out the door. they had a nice toasty train ride.

the govt was charged 400 francs for the stove and 11 fr. for the coal inside.

the only theft to top the stove was a hive full of honey, plus all the bees inside. the bees covered the punishment.
