98? Bush weeks to go

ok, technically not a rhyme, but it was to good to pass up. been waiting to post it with glee.

if i was a better typer or if i could link, i would post Bright's speech on the "trent" affair. and i don't remember earning in school that west viginia was created when they wanted to stay in the union when the rest of the state seceeded. HOW COME? why did i learn this from an obscure book??? did anybody else get taught that in school? i am sure west virginians and virginians. was it mentioned in that PBS civil war series? i don't remember it.
funny. NOW, will i remember it?

Hi Pansy!
To copy a link, highlight the address at the top of the page with a right click, and left click on "copy" in the dropdown window.
Then come back here to your blog and right click anywhere in your page where you want it, and left click on the "paste" button. The address should be copied to your page from the original page. Even if it's not a hyperlink, a person can still drag and highlight it and then do the "copy and paste" routine in their browser address spot.
Good luck, hope your old Apple will do that.
Bruce

well, my non-apple mouse does have left and right, but i doubt i could find Bright on the internets.
*and then there is that apple issue. so i don't even bother. luddite prefers it that way actually.

just give overview. take notes. and i ain't gonna sign in dammit. so hard from this direction. MORE apple issues i suppose.
may have to do an alternative 98 weeks considering dickie's close shave.

I don't remember learning about West Virginia's split from Virginia in HS but it is mentioned a lot in books about the Civil War especially with respect to the economic and class differences between the old aristocracy Virginia plantation planters in the east and the mountaineers in the west.

ok. now why weren't we taught that in school? seems like an interesting part of history. i always wondered about west virginia. well, maybe not always. but i did. probably when looking at maps or globes.
i am gonna have to do a big post i think.

probably, i the case of where i went to high school, it was because the teacher didn't know about it either. He was also the football coach... need i say more. Anyway, I don't remember learning much of anything about the Civil War in HS - but i was in HS during the VietNam War (current events particularly) and discussion about the war then was always a topic in history class back then.

Plus I smoked a lot of dope in HS so to be honest I may have missed a thing or two.

well i gotta say, my history ALWAYS(shit, again???)did more revolution war and WW2. luckily in 6th, our teacher had a minor in WW1 history, so i knew my arch duke france ferdinand and such. plus, i got way too much PBS(when it was better).never ever gort to vietnam, even tho it was in the history books. i always looked at the whole books. cause i liked history. even when the teachers sucked.
shit, i once did a paper on Harding because i wanted to find out about that tea pot dome. shit. georgie has been FAR FAR more dirtier than harding ever was.
watched that WW2 thing last night and that guys mini tanks were awesome.
