hey farmer, i see why you are 'the farmer'.
and i spoke too soon. cheney or his pal was in the back '40'again. why not live trap? we could take him to west bend to be with the rest of the republiKKKans.
need to get poison i suppose.
have i mention a woman in a SUV who has dug in our recycling cart to take out cans?
she came y today, but thois time at least she did come to the back doo r to ask if it was ok. bad teeth and bad shoes. i pointed out barefeet cost nothing. and she mentioned how cute basil was, who sits in the window and the long hair sybil. she said she had 3 pedegree maine coons. wonder why she needs cans???
at least she asked.
should save the money and deal with her teeth. i feel for her small daughter.
basil IS cute.

why not live trap?
you could try that. but rats is sneaky. they may not go near it. like i said before... my sister and brother in law had a problem last year. eventually had to locate the buroughs and dig the buggers out. One thing too... the rats are often attracted to bird feeders. Sunflower seeds on the ground etc.. If they are feeding around any birdfeeders you might have to stop the feeding for a while. Could also try shooting em. But probably can't do that where you are and you'd likely need at least a 22. I doubt a pellet gun would do the trick on a rat. Might scare em away though.... i dunno.
when i lived in the tropics we had fruit rats in the trees all over the place. They'll gnaw off palm leaves - Eat the avacados on the ground etc... But they weren't like big nasty sewer rats or river rats (they were small like lab rats or even pet store rats) but still... they were everywhere.
I dunno what to tell you. Do you know where they are burrowed in?
