Fresh cat shit: my best guess is ammonia. like the stuff in smelling salts. also in window cleaners where you can either pay a lot of money to have the smell disguised or buy it dirt cheap and bring your own bucket of warm water and wadded up newspapers.

bad smells? how about the "fragrance" stuff the department store assholes stick in their newspaper advertising inserts? my mind just slipped back to yesterday morning. gag the proverbial maggot & will washing my hands help? gotta make some calls.
