i made some black bean-lentil soup last week.

now, it is almost the same as the pea soup, but i use 1/2 a bag of lentils, 1/2 of black beans.
no carrots and 1 can of stewed tomatoes.
now, i didn't really measure anything, but when i figured it was done, it tasted great. i LOVE when that happens. THANK YOU GRANDMA F! certainly did not get my instinct from my mother or OR her mother.

maybe i will put my german immigrant potato salad on fri.wisco...ouisconsinites usually call it german potato salad, but benedicte who knows germans(sausage eaters-you call THAT an insult??)and had been to germany, says she had never encountered anything like it, BUT she loved it.
