well, typical of a 'prestige' estate sale, there wasn't much for me. tons of crap. but it was interesting. it mustt have been an eastern europe couple, had a translation book(yugoslavia or there about). did have a nice woven rug. but his prices are stoopid. and YET!, i did find an object dear to my heart. uh oh, another piece of wood. a wooden candy mold io believe. hand hewn, and i am not sure what kind of wood as it is rather orange and the grain is definately not pine. and it has two shapes. a end of a walnut(or is it pecan?) and a long way of the same nut. it has a nice handle too. hmm, now how to display it.
got it for 1/2 price-$3. probably cause it was a bit sticky. oh, i wonder if they make maple candy in europe? or is it a N america thing? maybe a candy they made in the homelamd.hmm, maybe ask my danish pals.
