i went past my usual estate range as i do not real;ly care to go to ranch houses, but at least it was 1/2 price and this week doesn't have any GOOD sales. i was desperate. well, i did get a very large framed print. stretchers are fucking expensive and getting them square is a bitch. and hey! it's recycling! BUT, but the best thing was an old wooden mallet. it definately had age on it. and a wonderful patina. hmm, at least mid 1800's i would say. it does have nails(head is quite big 5x3 block of wood), but the handle appears to be held in place by wedges. well, i got it for about $1. best part almost. best part is the object itself. i love primitive stuff.
oh shit, what DON'T i like?
hummels. i can't stand them. and precious moments. those are crap too.
