Even though it is not signed, I’d be willing to bet some art expert somewhere will recognize the artist by the style, age, etc. And here’s a heads-up: During the last quarter of the 19th Century some of the most famous artists of New England purchased their supplies at Frost & Adams. These include: Hunt, Inness Neal, Brown, Enneking, Norton, Vinton, both George W. Picknell and William Lamb Picknell, Ignaz Gaugengigl, Shapleigh, and many, many others. I wish I had time to do a lot of research, but . . .
